Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 12, 2026 · Applies to the mobile game Down Is Forever ("the Game") on Android and iOS.

Down Is Forever is developed and published by Joginder Tanikella ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Game handles, why, and what choices you have. The short version: the Game collects no personal information, shows no ads, and contains no third-party tracking. The only data that ever leaves your device is an optional, anonymous leaderboard score.

Information we do not collect

The Game does not collect, request, or have access to:

Data stored on your device

Your game progress (best depth, run history, banked Echoes, collected memory fragments, unlocked cosmetics, upgrades, achievements, and settings) is saved locally on your device only. We cannot see or access it. Uninstalling the Game deletes this data.

Waitlist (website)

If you join the launch waitlist on our website, we collect your email address. This is stored in our Supabase database and used only to notify you when the Game launches. We won't spam you. You can ask us to remove your waitlist entry at any time via the contact form.

Contact form (website)

If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email, and message (and optionally your device model). This is stored in our Supabase database and sent to us by email so we can reply. We use it only to handle your request.

Leaderboard data (optional)

The Game has an optional online leaderboard. When a score is submitted, the following is sent to our leaderboard database (hosted by Supabase):

This data is used solely to display leaderboard rankings to you and other players. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any other purpose. If your device is offline, scores are queued locally and submitted when a connection is available.

Data deletion

You can request deletion of your leaderboard entries at any time via the contact form (choose Data Deletion Request) with your leaderboard display name and the #tag shown next to it in the Game, if visible. We will delete the matching entries within 30 days and confirm by email.

To remove your waitlist signup, use the contact form and tell us the email you signed up with.

All other game data lives only on your device and is removed by uninstalling the Game.

Children's privacy

The Game does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. There are no accounts, no chat, and no ads. The only user-provided text is the optional leaderboard display name, which we encourage all players to keep anonymous.

Security

Leaderboard data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with Supabase, which maintains its own security practices. Since the data is anonymous, a breach could not expose your identity.

Changes to this policy

If we change what data the Game handles (for example, if a future update adds new online features), we will update this policy and revise the effective date above before the change takes effect.
